Currently, the City of Huntington Fire Department uses Merit Employment Assessment Services, Inc. for firefighter testing. The study guide for the test can only be obtained when an application for firefighter has been returned to the City Clerk’s Office.

Most bookstores carry firefighter examinations manuals. Generally, individuals who are interested in employment as a firefighter may find these books helpful. The City of Huntington Fire Department cannot recommend any one book.
